Visited yesterday for Sunday Roast. The place itself is really nice with lots of character. We ordered two roast beef (£17 each), two roast lamb and one roast chicken. The food was tasty but unfortunately there wasn't much of it, especially the meat portions. My beef was cut so thinly it was almost as if it was packet sliced beef! We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese for £4, this came 5 minutes after the meals, at which point three of us had finished. That was a good thing because it was a minute portion! We weren't asked what we thought of the food throughout the meal. A young lad came over to clear the plates away without speaking to us. After requesting the bill and waiting 15 minutes we eventually went down to the bar to pay the bill. We would go back there for a drink in the bar area but never to eat again.

Food:
Crab and lemon mayonnaise was very tasty, pickled salad on top of it as well. However, the crostini that came with it was not fresh.
Chorizo tartlet: you can't really feel any truffle or chorizo as in the menu description, but it's still very tasty. Lovely texture as well.
Ham and leek pie: delicious pie, chips and greens. Would highly recommend.
Service:
Very welcoming and efficient. Starters and main were brought together instead of separately as I asked, but I actually don't mind.
Cleanliness:
Didn't use the loo, but the whole of the space was sparkling clean!!
Atmosphere:
I can't fail to point out the music selection which was very much to my liking (00's rock music). There is different music upstairs and downstairs/outside. Space was nicely decorated as well.

This is another of those Dr Who's tardises. Closed pub but beautiful open seating areas. Packed and vibrant. Excellent food and well kept beers. People willing to serve, pleasant and happy. Well done to you and keep up the good work. I'll come here again soon.

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Stable Bar. The atmosphere in the bar was great and the staff not only friendly but very professional. The food was delicious. I can not recommend this establishment enough. We had seared scallops with cured salmon to start and steak as our main course.
